How to Set Up Mandatory Remarks in a Journal Entry in SAP Business One!

By Patrick Burt

Sometimes the small details are the most important ones and yet, we tend to skip or forget about them until it’s too late. Same goes with remarks in journal entries - when in a hurry or extremely busy we might just skip them and then… this little piece of information is missing.

If filling in the Remarks field in journal entries is essential in your business, this new option in SAP Business One is made for you:

document settings - mandatory remarks

By default, the “Mandatory Remarks” checkbox is not selected. Select it and choose whether remarks are mandatory in the journal entry header, rows, or both. In addition, define whether to show a warning or to block adding the journal entry in case the required remarks were not entered.

Available in SAP Business One 9.3, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One 9.3. For more info, contact Mark Burt at mburt@d1tech.net or click here for more SAP Business One information!
