Exchange Rate Display: Direct or Indirect for SAP Business One

By Mark Burt

If your business records transactions in multiple currencies, you must be entering exchange rates of the relevant currencies on a regular basis. In SAP Business One each company can choose the display mode of the exchange rate in the Exchange Rate and Indexes window and in transactions – It’s either direct or indirect:

null

If you choose direct, the rate of a foreign currency is displayed as its value in local currency. The indirect display shows the value of the local currency in the units of the foreign currency.

Once the setting is done and a transaction is posted, you cannot change it.

Available in SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One. For more information, please contact Mark Burt at mburt@d1tech.net.
